Book One in the trilogy:
The Mother of All Apocalypses
Blurbs
Nellie is no stranger to staring into the abyss. It has been happening with annoying regularity since starting HRT. Self-love is hard with enormous boobs and a useless body.
The Last Teabag is the first book in the trilogy, The Mother of All Apocalypses; an illustrated journey through the stream of consciousness of a menopausal mother, Nellie, who lives in the Midlands with her partner, Sam, and four children as they navigate a global apocalypse.
Nellie is convinced that Sam is having an affair and has an existential crisis every day. She also has to deal with feminism, motherhood, art, teenagers, naps, dwindling supplies of tea and her big boobs before she can take on the cataclysmic destruction as it eventually reaches her front door.
The source of the cataclysmic destruction — Mother Earth — inspires her to finally vent her rage and create new ground while searching for a meaning to live. This is the start of a complicated love story with herself and Sam.
The Last Teabag is my debut indie novel and is the first book in a trilogy: The Mother of All Apocalypses.
The trilogy follows Nellie and her family as they try to survive a global apocalypse through well-rehearsed avoidance techniques. The apocalypse is not as important as Nellie’s own existential crisis that started years before with the onset of perimenopause.
